OBITUARY
Saugerties – Anita VanGorder of Appletree Dr, Saugerties died January 22, 2015 at Health Alliance Broadway Campus in Kingston. She was 76 years old.

Born October 2, 1938 in NYC, she was the daughter of Ralph and Laura Mauro Raimondi. She graduated Saugerties High School in 1956 and was very active on the reunion committees. In the 1970's she was a den mother in Cub Scout Pack 135.

She retired form Philips in Saugerties after 20 years. Prior to working there, she and her sister, both certified ceramic instructors, operated a ceramic studio for 15 years. She was a member of the VFW Post #5034 Auxiliary. Anita loved to cook and have company, was an avid reader and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna VanGorder and her husband Joseph Howard of Saugerties; her son Kenneth VanGorder and his wife Deborah of Kingston; three grandchildren, John, Justin and Rachel VanGorder; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her siblings Ralph Raimondi and Rose Piratzky, and her husband Donald.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 AM Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery in Barclay Heights. Friends may call Wednesday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
