Saugerties – Andrew Remsen died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley Broadway Campus after a long illness. He was 41 years old.

Born July 19, 1975 in Oneida, NY, he was the son of Sherwood "Butch" and Susan Willig Remsen. He was employed as an arborist by various local tree services and owned Andy's Tree Service.

Andy was active in the 4H program and regularly competed in the Dog Obedience Classes. He also enjoyed raising Chickens and Ducks.

In addition to his parents survivors include his son Ian and daughter Emily of Saugerties; his brother John and his wife Antonia of Port Ewen; and his nephews Kole and Cross. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at The Plattekill Reformed Church in Mount Marion. Inurnment will follow in Mount Marion Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY. In lieu of Flowers the family suggests donations be made in Andy's memory to Hudson Valley Hospice, 400 Aaron Court, Kingston, NY 12401 or Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Road, Kingston, NY 12401.
