OBITUARY Saugerties – Alberta Nelson died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Tenbroeck Commons in Lake Katrine. She was 93 years old. She was born July 29, 1916 in New York City the daughter of William and Rose Spencer Mooney. Her husband, Henry, died in 1983. Mrs. Nelson worked as a secretary in Albany, NY for NYS Senator Arthur Wicks and as circulation manager for the Saugerties Post Star. She also worked for Thompson Laundry in Kingston, NY. Survivors include two daughters, Arline Mericle of Tucson, AZ, and Gayle McBennet & her husband Robert of Glenerie, NY; four grandchildren April Rodman, Dawn Numssen, Michelle Gilbert and Debbie Ash; eight great-grandchildren and 2 nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY. Dr. Duane Buddle, Pastor of the Saugerties United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow immediately in Mt. Marion Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
