OBITUARY INFORMATION Glasco ? Rudy Mauro, Sr. died Monday, December 21, 2009 at home. He was 84 years old. He was born July 22, 1925 in Glasco, NY, the son of Frank and Julia Buono Mauro. He married the former Concetta ?Connie? Perry. Along with his wife, for more than 20 years he was the proprietor of Rudy?s Restaurant in Glasco, NY. He was a retired member of Local 17 Union of Laborers. A life member of the Glasco Fire Co., he was also a former fire commissioner. He belonged to the Liquor Dealers Association and the Sacandaga Golf Club. He was inducted into the Saugerties Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. An avid hunter and fisherman he was also a member of the Glasco Gun Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Rudy and his wife Theresa of West Hurley, Frank of Hunter, Timothy and his wife Sandy of Glasco, and Kevin and his wife Rose of Glasco; a sister, Geraldine Spada of Glasco; a brother, John of West Palm Beach, Fla; six grandchildren, Erika Nagy, Marina Mauro, Christopher Mauro, Frank Mauro, Jr., Miranda Mauro, and Conner Mauro; and two great-grandchildren Darren and Morgan Nagy. He was pre-deceased by by his sister, Emily Perry and his brother, Michael Mauro. A Funeral procession will form 9:15 AM Thursday December 21, 2009 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. Joseph?s RC Church in Glasco where at 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Rev. Monsignor Charles Zanotti, Pastor of St. Joseph?s will officiate. Cremation will follow at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Wednesday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street, Saugerties, NY.
