Richard A. Dragon Pike

Malden-on-Hudson, NY - Richard "Dick" A. Dragon Pike of Malden-on-Hudson, NY passed away on Sunday, October 19th, 2008 after a long illness. Born on May 2, 1936, in New Bedford, MA, Dick was the only son of Armand Dragon and Isaura Freitas, and step-son of William Pike. Dick had several vocations, most notably as a jazz drummer. A veteran of the U.S. Navy attached to the Marine Corps, Dick was a commercial diver in Cape Coral, Florida and before that, owned a kennel, specializing in breeding champion Airedale Terriers. Survivors include his wife, Jean Pike, daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Wade Partridge of Covington, LA, son and daughter-in-law Kerry and JoAnne Pike of Cape Coral, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Ric and Jennifer Dragon of Chichester, NY. He also is survived by two grandchildren, Kerra Pike and Joey Dragon. He was also predeceased by one grandson, Justin Gilman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Hospice of Ulster County Funeral services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY.
