Mary Swart Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Saugerties – Mary Ryan Swart died Monday, March 26, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. She was born in Saugerties, the daughter of Leo and Mae Woods Ryan. Her husband, Harold Swart, died June of 1994. She graduated Saugerties High School in 1935. She has been involved in the local antique business for most of her life. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist in Centerville. She was also a former member of the St. John Altar Rosary Society, Girl’s Community Club, the Woodstock Guild and the Ulster County Antique Dealers Association. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Meg) Swart Houtman of Saugerties; three sons, Harold (Bud), Lawrence (Larry), and William (Billy) all of Saugerties; Five grandchildren, Gretel, Zachariah, Joshua, Matthew Swart and Alexander Houtman; three great-grandchildren; one niece & on nephew. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Lawrence Ryan and Sister, Margaret O’Connor. A Funeral procession will form 8:45 AM Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. John the Evangelist Parish Center in Centerville, where a 9:30 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
