OBITUARY Saugerties - Mary C. Foley (Liz) of South Road, Mount Marion died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old. Born July 25, 1914 in New York City, she was the daughter of Ernest and Julia Burhnam Zeh. She married her late husband, Harold D. Foley on October 19, 1930. He passed on October 27, 1990 after sixty years of marriage. She lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn and during WWII she worked in the American Can Factory and in a Spark Plug factory as part of the war effort. Later she worked as a book binder at Steinbergh Press in Brooklyn. Upon their retirement she and her husband moved first to Wurtsboro NY and later to Mount Marion, NY She loved to travel, enjoyed being a homemaker & nurturing her family, she also took great pride in her family, boasting family was her greatest achievement. She often bragged how proud she was being the family Matriarch. Survivors include four children, Frances Bentley with whom she resided in Mt.Marion, Mary Bentley and her husband Richard of Sugar Loaf, NY, Patricia Maloney of Mt. Marion and Thomas Foley Sr. & his wife Edna of Mt. Marion; her sister, Julia Spetalieri of Mt. Marion; 20 grandchildren, Donald Bentley, Patricia Guido, Deborah Jones, Brian Bentley, James Knauer Lloyd Knauer, Darleen Harvey, Cecilia Parker, Timothy Maloney, Thomas Maloney, Linda Hartrum, John Maloney, Patrick Maloney, Mary Abramowitz, Cathy Coates, Dawn Lynch, Thomas Foley JR, Carol Diers Foley, Diane Mendock; many many great-grandchildren, and numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Eileen Knauer and her husband Chester; sons in law, Donald Bentley Sr. and William Maloney Sr, her grandson, William Maloney Jr; one sister, Grace Tartaglia; and three brothers, Ernest, Jackie and Edward Zeh. A funeral procession will form 9:45 AM on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY and then proceed to St. Mary of the Snow Church where a 10:30 Am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Fr. Christopher Berean, Pastor of St. Mary of the Snow, will officiate. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Buono Funeral Service, Inc.
