Jane Misasi Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Glasco – Jane Misasi, a lifelong resident of Glasco, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Kingston Hospital, after a brief illness. She was 90 years old. Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed cooking, reading and sewing. She took pride in her family and had a special love for all of them. She was born March 18, 1917 in Glasco, NY the daughter of Carmela and Michael Ferraro. He husband, Charles L. Misasi, Sr. died February 16, 1979. She was a retired seamstress and worked for various clothing manufacturers in the area. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Fitzgerald and her husband, Jim, of Clifton Park, NY; a son Charles (Chuck) Misasi and his wife, Joan (Spiers), of Glasco, NY; a grand daughter, Jennifer (Fitzgerald) Galvin and her husband, John, and two great-grandchildren, Griffin James and Brody Charles Galvin of Duanesburg, NY. Coming from a family of nine siblings all from the local area, she is survived by two sisters, Anne Ferraro and Louise Saulpaugh; and two brothers, Nicholas and John Ferraro; and by several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Peter, Salvatore and Michael Ferraro; and by her sister, Mary Amendola. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Glasco. Rev. Monsignor Charles Zanotti, Pastor of St. Joseph’s will officiate. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Arrangements are under the direction of Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Saugerties, NY.
